Cynthia did a fall photoshoot for my family and it was a fantastic experience. My boys are very difficult when it comes to getting the right shot but you would never know seeing the photos. Cynthia was able to catch some great candid shots and the natural smiles of everyone including the family dog. When I went seeking for a photographer (with quite the task) Cynthia came eager and ready to take on the task. Rushed Christmas family photos ... with one, three, and five year old children... in the snow. I envisioned beautiful outdoor Christmas trees and snow. This alone seemed like a challenge BUT THEN, I requested that our photos be rushed so we could have them by Christmas.
Cynthia not only did this with a flawless time record to beat, our photos are stunning and I could not be more happy with them. She edited the photos beautifully and seamlessly.

Q: Who are these sessions for?
A: These sessions are designed for immediate families: parents and their children. They are a great fit if you want updated family photos, Christmas-card images, or a few favourites for your walls without booking a full-length session. If you are hoping to include grandparents, cousins, or multiple households, please reach out about an extended family session instead.
Q: How long is a fall mini session?
A: Your session is 20 minutes long. That is enough time for a mix of family photos, sibling photos, parent-and-child moments, and a few candid images — as long as everyone arrives ready to begin at their scheduled time.
Q: Which Edmonton park should we choose?
A: Gold Bar Park is warm and natural, Rundle Park is open and playful, Belgravia feels leafy and classic, and Hawrelak Park offers a refined river-valley setting. Choose the one that feels most like your family. I will send the exact meeting point and parking details before your session.
Q: Can we bring our dog?
A: Yes — well-behaved family dogs are welcome at outdoor sessions. Please let me know in your questionnaire so I can plan for them, and bring a leash plus a favourite treat or toy.
Q: What should we wear for fall family photos?
A: Once you're booked, I'll send a simple style guide. For fall, pick one outfit you love and build around it with soft, complementary colors — warm neutrals, olive, rust, muted blue, cream, camel, or burgundy — rather than matching exactly. Layers photograph well and help with changing weather. Most importantly, everyone should feel like themselves and be able to move and cuddle comfortably. Skip big logos, neon, or busy tiny patterns.
Q: What happens if it rains?
A: Fall weather can be unpredictable. If the forecast calls for conditions that are not workable, I will contact you with the next step. Depending on availability and the weather, that may be a rescheduled time, a rain date, or another solution that makes sense for the group.
Q: When will we receive our photos?
A: A reveal appointment will be booked within 14 calendar days of your session. We will go over the photographs together in person (or virtually) before narrowing the photographs for hand-editing.
Q: Can we purchase additional images or the complete gallery?
A: Yes. Your session includes five hand-edited digital images, and you will have the option to purchase additional images or upgrade to the complete gallery after your gallery reveal appointment.
Q: What can I use my $100 artwork credit toward?
A: Your credit can be used toward a framed print, canvas, album, or another heirloom artwork piece purchased through your gallery.
The $100 credit applies to artwork orders of $300 or more and expires 15 days after gallery delivery.
Q: What happens if my child is having a hard day?
A: That is normal. Really.
Please do not stress if your child needs a minute, wants to move, or is not interested in smiling on command. I work quickly, keep things light, and photograph the in-between moments too. Those are often the ones you end up loving most.
