Kids grow way too fast; the same goes with babies. The newborn phase is far too short. This phase is to be celebrated -- I can help you capture how tiny those toes and fingers once were.

Let me help you pre-plan every detail -- whether the session is at your home or at my Edmonton newborn photography studio. I will guide you through every moment -- from how to pose to providing providing artistic directions. If you plan on bringing your immediate family members to your newborn session, you can expect your family's connections to be captured in a way that is meaningful for you!

Congratulations on your newborn baby! I would love to chat about your vision of your newborn session. I include the use of client closet dresses for moms and offer a complimentary styling consult after the contract is signed.

My newborn sessions start at $800+GST. Newborn photography sessions are done within Edmonton and area only.

1. Say Hello

The best time to schedule your newborn session is between 3 and 10 days old. Day 7 or 8 is the most ideal.

Most clients book their newborn session by third trimester as my calendar gets filled on a first-come, first-served basis.

I only take 15 newborn sessions a year.

2. Schedule it

It is very easy to plan it: my studio or your home? My Edmonton newborn photography studio is on 112 Ave and 149 Street in Edmonton, Alberta. Exact address is given upon signing of contract.

For at home, we can either schedule a video chat to decide which room is best. For at home newborn sessions, props are very minimal; if you want a session with more props, it is held at my studio. If you have got any special requests, please include that with your inquiry in the contact form!

3. Planning it

Newborn sessions are not "mini-sessions". They are fully customizable sessions. Do dedicate at least 3 hours for your session. You are welcome to take as many breaks as you need!

If you have younger kids, do prep them ahead of time -- my sessions are as bribe-free as possible as we want siblings to be interactive during your maternity session. We start with them before your partner takes them to a playground elsewhere.

4. Your Session

Your photographs are meant to be hung on your walls or be the centre-piece of your coffee table as an heirloom album. When you pre-book a maternity & newborn session together, I provide artwork incentives to help you preserve your memories in artwork form.

I will walk you through the process as choosing the photographs is a guided process --not a sending of the gallery and dash. You can have confidence in choosing the best photographs as the final images.
