The Life-inspireed Famiily Experience

A family session is a great way to be in the moment -- play, snuggle or laugh at my ridiculous Mom jokes. We don't say "cheese" during sessions with me.

Let me help you pre-plan every detail -- whether the session is outdoors or at at my Edmonton photo studio.  I will guide you through every moment -- from how to pose to providing prompts to evoke genuine emotions. If you plan on bringing extended family members to your family session, you can expect your family's connections to be captured in a way that is meaningful for you!

I see you have cute kid(s) who are growing up too fast! Or you have parents like mine who are aging. I would love to chat about your vision of your family session: the location, time of session and the feelings you want to remember with your family. I offer a complimentary styling consult after the contract is signed.

I will customize workflow that is unique to your family's stories. My family sessions start at $600+GST.  Additional travel charges could incur beyond 60 minutes of travel one-way. 

1. Say Hello

The best time to schedule your outdoor family session is 90 minutes before golden hour. Fall and summer are my most popular dates. Figure out a date that works for everyone and I can take care of other details. Sessions are booked on a first-come, first-served basis. 

Do provide the ages of kids that will be in the photographs. I work with kids from infants to teenagers to adults. 

2. Schedule it

It is very easy to plan it: indoors or outdoors? Indoors is most likely at my studio on 112 Ave and 149 Street in Edmonton, Alberta. 

For outdoors, I have a list of preferred locations, depending on what your vision is. I can help you plan a cohesive colour palette for your family photographs. Some colours are meaningful for you -- if you have any special requests, please include that with your inquiry in the contact form!

3. Planning it

Full family sessions are not "mini-sessions". They are fully customizable sessions. Do dedicate at least half an hour to 45 minutes for your session. You are welcome to take as many breaks as you need!

If you have younger kids, do prep them ahead of time -- my sessions are as bribe-free as possible as we want siblings to be interactive during your family session. We play games like red light, green light!

Let me help you tell your stories while you love on your children. 

4. Your Session

Your photographs are meant to be hung on your walls or be the centre-piece of your coffee table as an heirloom album. When you pre-book a family session, I provide artwork incentives to help you preserve your memories in artwork form.

I will walk you through the process as choosing the photographs is a guided process --not a sending of the gallery and dash. You can have confidence in choosing the best photographs as the final images.

Your family photographs are timeless and my goal is to create wall-art worthy images. Your investment includes collections of artwork incentives as well as digital images. 

The Investment Details

Cynthia did a fall photoshoot for my family and it was a fantastic experience. My boys are very difficult when it comes to getting the right shot but you would never know seeing the photos. Cynthia was able to catch some great candid shots and the natural smiles of everyone including the family dog. We were impressed when we got the preview of our photos and we had a hard time choosing which ones we wanted in our package because they were all good (we actually needed up expanding our package). Highly recommend Cynthia!

Cynthia was excellent!! She took photos for our extended family and us, which included 11 people, and was very organized, creative and professional. She gave great suggestions to set up all of the photos which we really appreciated.

When I went seeking for a photographer (with quite the task) Cynthia came eager and ready to take on the task. Rushed Christmas family photos ... with one, three, and five year old children... in the snow. I envisioned beautiful outdoor Christmas trees and snow. This alone seemed like a challenge BUT THEN, I requested that our photos be rushed so we could have them by Christmas.
Cynthia not only did this with a flawless time record to beat, our photos are stunning and I could not be more happy with them. She edited the photos beautifully and seamlessly.
She was patient, loving, and caring with both my shy significant other and our three children when they had enough of the cold and wind.
I am in love with our photos and I am glad to say we will be adopting Cynthia as our resident family photographer as long as she'll have us.
